About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Cath Lab for a 13-week contract opportunity in Carbondale, Illinois. The Cath Lab RN will provide specialized nursing support during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures while monitoring patient condition and administering moderate sedation.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care and continuous patient monitoring before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
Administer and monitor moderate sedation in accordance with established clinical protocols and patient-care standards.
Assist with procedure-room setup, equipment preparation, sterile workflow, and room breakdown following procedures.
Support procedures including left and right heart catheterization, peripheral interventions, carotid stents, AAA procedures, TAVR, and cardiac device implants.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic and participate in required weekday and weekend on-call coverage.
Requirements
Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License Required.
Minimum 2 Years of Cardiac Cath Lab Nursing Experience Required.
Current BLS/BCLS Certification Required.
Experience With Moderate Sedation and Hemodynamic Patient Monitoring Required.
Experience Supporting Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Procedures Required; Must Be Available for Assigned Call Rotation.
