Responsibilities
Position Summary: Manage patient accounts, verify insurance coverage, resolve payer/pharmacy issues, and guide patients through every step of their medical assistance requests.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct outbound calls to confirm coverage approvals, co-pays, and specialty pharmacy details.
- Contact insurance carriers to obtain and enter accurate benefit information.
- Resolve complex payer and pharmacy issues to secure positive outcomes.
- Document detailed notes in proprietary software while conversing with customers.
- Research alternative funding and foundations to determine patient eligibility.
Requirements: - High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of healthcare, pharmacy benefits management, or prior authorization experience.
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with strong accuracy while on calls.
- Dedicated home workspace with hardwired high-speed internet.
